Photography Contest
Duration: January – August (Biennially)
LICA hosts a photography contest biennially, in even-numbered years, featuring two categories: Adult (17+), and Youth (16 & under). Entrants are required to capture photos within the LICA region, as they are meant to represent the Beaver River Watershed where we operate and reside. A panel of judges, composed of a professional photographer, and volunteers from LICA’s Board of Directors and Education & Outreach Committee evaluates each submission based on various parameters. The contest recognizes first, second, and third-place winners, each receiving a framed copy of their photo and a cash prize.

Eligibility: CONTEST CLOSED – NEXT CONTEST IS IN 2026
- Open to all photographers that reside or work in
the LICA region (please see map) - Open to all ages
- Youth Category: Ages 16 and under
- Adult Category: Ages 17+
- Photos must be within the LICA region
- LICA Staff, Board & Committee members are not eligible to enter the contest
