Elysia De Napoli

Environmental Coordinator

Born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, I spent the first 15 years of my career in the skilled trades. Following in my father’s footsteps, I earned dual Red Seal certifications in Carpentry and Gasfitting before eventually moving into project management. While I still value and stay active in the trades, my lifelong fascination with the mountains and earth sciences led me back to school. I earned a diploma in Environmental Assessment and Restoration, focusing my studies on water, soil, and geology to bring more harmony between my professional career and my connection to the outdoors.

When I am not at work, I am usually off exploring. I have been to 14 countries and counting and have made it a personal tradition to hike to an Alpine Club of Canada hut every year – traversing glaciers and sizing up waterfalls along the way. When I am closer to home, I love to camp, kayak, hunt, and fish; but if the weather keeps me inside, you’ll find me curled up with a good book or playing a musical instrument.

I am excited to be part of the LICA team and to contribute to the vital work being done in the Beaver River Watershed.
